Randy Moss was already selected in the first round and Larry Fitzgerald was selected two picks before me at 2.4. My three options for 2.6 were as follows: Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson and Braylon Edwards. That's quite an impressive short list and it would be hard pressed to argue against selecting any of these top tier players.
First up was Braylon Edwards. Edwards exploded in 2007 with almost 1300 yards and a whopping 16 TD's. Edwards was the youngest of the options at age 25, but his career year only yielded 80 targets. I don't figure Edwards to catch 16 TD's every year so I had to knock him down a peg since this is a PPR league and when you have three options this close, every edge matters.
Then there's Reggie Wayne. At first glance, Reggie Wayne seemed like an obvious choice. He plays on the high powered Colts offense and with a quarterback who is solid as they come. 2007 was his first year he had to play without Marvin Harrison and Wayne stepped up setting career marks in receptions and yards. The downside: he'll be 30 this year and I believe that 2007 was his ceiling. 100 receptions, 1500 yards and 10 TD's for the next four years sounds very safe and I may regret passing on him, but......
With pick 2.06, TheEndzoneView selected:
Andre Johnson, WR Houston Texans
This pick was more or less a gut check call. AJ is coming off an injury plagued 2007 which is a cause for concern, but in those 9 games he played, he scored 8 TD's and finished the year strong. At the age of 27, the next three years should be the best of his career regardless of who's throwing the rock. While Braylon Edwards could have very well just had his career year and with Reggie Wayne already at his ceiling, Andre Johnson has the most room to grow and to be quite honest, the sky is the limit. The upside of both my first two picks is frightening, but so is the injury risks that comes with them. However, I feel very confident that I'm getting two players that are just tapping into their true potential which is a great start to a dynasty .

Quick Observations: Go Cheeseheadds makes Darren McFadden the first rookie taken and that shows a big leap of faith to make that call in the middle of the second round. Crinkle Crinkle had LT2 fall to him at the 3rd overall spot then had Reggie Wayne fall into his lap in the second. It doesn't get much better than that.
