Peyton Manning Out 4-6 Weeks With Knee Surgery

That's the word out of Indy. Peyton will be in full "Manning Face" mode as he immediately begins rehab after undergoing a "routine" knee surgery, but can any surgery be deemed "routine" when it involves an athletes knee? Peyton will be out 4-6 weeks and since he's 32, he will most likely be out toward the end of that projected rehab time. Since he's never missed a game in his career, we for now will safely assume that he will be ready for Week 1 and Tony Dungy seems confident enough to even suggest that Manning will only miss the next three weeks.

However, this is something to definitely keep an eye on as training camp opens. Any setbacks would alter the values of multiple fantasy players. The Colts don't expect Peyton to suit up in the pre-season so Indy fans will get a glimpse of how bad life truly could be with Jim Sorgi running the offense. I wouldn't be surprised to start hearing Chris Simms name mentioned in the Indy papers as a result.
