It would be foolish to trust one site or magazine for this priceless info, so here at theendzoneview.com we've compiled a, shall we say, "Master" list. It consists the average ranks of the following websites: mockdraftcentral, cbssportsline, nfl, espn, foxsports and the fantasy football calculator. Rankings will obviously rise and fall throughout training camp and the pre-season so we'll make this a weekly feature as it gets closer to the season.
Here are this week's Hidden Gems: RB's
Edgerrin James, Arizona Cardinals, Master Rank=23.83
His current ranking is no higher than 20 which is a bit of a surprise considering he finished the year as a top 10 RB in nearly all leagues. With the Cardinals deciding against drafting Rashard Mendenhall, Edge avoided a major hit on his value. With the Cards only adding Tim Hightowert this off-season, James will have every opportunity to match his 2007 totals.
Thomas Jones, New York Jets, Master Rank = 24.50
Thomas Jones had a shall we say, rough first year in Gotham. He constantly disappeared behind the porous offensive line in goal line situations resulting in a horrendous total of 1. The fact that he was able to churn out over 1100 yards is nothing short of amazing. But the Jets concentrated on beefing up the O-line which means good things should happen for Thomas Jones this season, and better things for those who draft him as the 24th RB off the board.
LenDale White, Tennessee Titans, Master Rank = 26.00
White is probably the epitome of boring, but he gets the job done. He was the year end top 15 RB and rushed for over 1100 yards and 7 TD's. Numbers easily attainable in 2008 as the primary running back on a run oriented team. Gone is Chris Brown, and drafted was Chris Johnson. Brown was a bigger direct threat to White's carries than Johnson will be, although Fisher promised to utilize Johnson in a Reggie Bush hybrid role.
Jonathan Stewart, Carolina Panthers, Master Rank = 26.50
Rookie running backs are always prime candidates to experience jumps in their rankings during the pre-season and Jonathan Stewart should be the one to move up the highest. Although he has yet to practice for the Panthers all signs indicate that he will be the most valuable of the two running backs and once the pre-season starts, the secret will be out. (the same applies to Matt Forte, MR = 27.67)
Chester Taylor, Minnesota Vikings, Master Rank = 36.00
It must be tough to rank the top handcuff in the game, but 36th? Chester doesn't even crack the top 30 on any list. I would be hard pressed to believe that he'll be the 36th running back taken in your draft, but that's where he sits, and most likely will barring an Adrian Peterson injury.

I had White last year and he makes me a little nervous. He needs to stay away from the buffets and fast food restaurants. However, I would imagine his side-by-side numbers are probably better than that of his USC counterpart, Bush.
