Per ESPN, the Packers have granted the Jets permission to speak with Brett Favre in regards to a trade. With the Jets reportedly roughly only $8 million under the cap, I'm not sure how the money is going to work. When asked about the possibility of landing Favre, head coach Eric Mangini said that any discussions are "internal" only.

Foxsports.com has also learned that the Packers have given the Buccaneers permission to speak with Brett Favre. When asked about the possibility of landing Favre, head coach Jon Gruden said "I love Jeff Garcia. I don't know how many quarterbacks we can use at this point"

Take both comments with a grain of salt but it's looking like Brett Favre will have a new home before this Sunday's Packers mini-camp.
